Rep. Peter King (R-NY) said on Sunday’s “The Cats Roundtable” on New York AM 970 radio said if President Donald Trump is going to get anything done, he needs the help of Democrats.
“I think we’re going to have to realize whether it’s healthcare, whether it’s tax reform coming up, that we’re going to have to find a way to get legislation through that is not just all Republican because then it becomes all or nothing, and it’s going to end up becoming nothing,” King told host John Catsimatidis.
He continued, “We have to find a way to reach out to get at least some Democrats involved. I think President Trump can do it… [he] is going to have to find a way to go beyond just the Republican base.”
