During Monday’s “Undisputed” on Fox Sports 1, co-host Shannon Sharpe weighed in on free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s slow offseason, saying owners are sending a message to future protesters by not signing Kaepernick.
“What the owners are doing, is not about Colin Kaepernick,” Sharpe told fellow host Skip Bayless. “Sometimes the punishment is not about the guy that’s already committed the crime. It’s about those that in the future might do such acts. They’re sending a message.”
“I’m just saying, a lot of times the punishment for a crime is to deter others from doing such acts,” he continued.
