Dem Rep Nadler: Labeling the Press 'the Enemy' Is a 'Totalitarian Tool of Dictators'

Tuesday on CNN’s “New Day,” Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) took on the assertion President Donald Trump had made in a tweet about the media, calling it the “enemy of the American people.”

Nadler said the gesture was a “totalitarian tool” and not a “fit thing” for the commander-in-chief.

“To label the press or anybody else enemy of the people is a totalitarian tool of dictators,” he said. “Not a fit thing for the president of the United States.”
