During Sunday’s “The Cats Roundtable” on New York AM 970 radio, Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) weighed in on President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall with Mexico, saying it would rate “very low” among Texans.

“I think people would say if you were talking about a physical wall, it would rate very low,” Cornyn told host JohnCatsimatidis. “[M]ost people in Texas understand that our 1200-mile border is not the same at every point along the way.”

Cornyn then offered up a better approach to secure the border.

“I agree with Secretary of Homeland Security Gen. John Kelly who says a layered approach makes sense, basically fencing, technology and boots on the ground.”
