AP’s Lerer: Some Dems Will Admit Anti-Trump Protests ‘Could Go Badly For Them,’ Especially If They Get Violent

On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Inside Politics,” Associated Press National Politics Reporter Lisa Lerer stated that some Democrats will admit anti-Trump “protests could go badly for them, particularly if they get taken over by like, WTO kind of anarchist elements. They start becoming violent, the base starts demanding primary challenges.”

Lerer said, “[S]ome Democrats will admit that, that these protests could go badly for them, particularly if they get taken over by like, WTO kind of anarchist elements. They start becoming violent, the base starts demanding primary challenges. Like, there is a lot of wariness amongst — particularly among Democrats from more conservative areas about where this movement could lead, for sure.”
