During their cold open this week, “Saturday Night Live” portrayed President Donald Trump, played by Alec Baldwin, and Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon, played by an actor dressed as the Grim Reaper, calling Australia’s Malcolm Turnbull, Mexico’s Enrique Pena Nieto, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe.
“Trump” declared war on Australia as he hung up, which “Bannon” said went “according to plan.”
While speaking with the Mexican president, faux-Trump tried to get Mexico to pay for the wall, but after failing, he then declared war on Mexico.
Baldwin then called Merkel, only to end up declaring war on Germany.
Zimbabwe’s Mugame, played by Kenan Thompson, blasted “Trump” when he got the call.
“I will rip out your spine and drink from your skull! You cannot even walk downstairs, you little white b****!” he shouted as he hung up on Baldwin.
At the end of the skit, it was revealed that “Bannon” was actually running the country.
