Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Outnumbered,” incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer discussed the multiple protests throughout Sen. Jeff Sessions’ confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier in the day.
According to Spicer, Democrats should be asked about the protesters and held accountable.
“I think Democrats should be held accountable and should be asked, ‘Do you think this is appropriate for left-wing groups to come in and interrupt a hearing?'” Spicer said.
Later in the segment, Spicer noted Trump was asked all throughout the presidential campaign to condemn individuals that held some impolitic views by the media and argued that same standard should be applied to Democrats regarding these protesters.
“I think the Democrats should be asked, ‘Are you going to denounce the tactics of Code Pink at a hearing like this?” he added. “They need to be held accountable for the tactics on the left the same way we’re apparently held accountable for the tactics of people who have a right-leaning thought.”
