Chaffetz: Hillary’s ‘Ability to Look in the Camera and Just Lie, Lie, Lie Scares Me’

Thursday on CNN’s “Situation Room,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) said he ultimately voted for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump even after condemning the 2005 Access Hollywood tape because he said Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s “ability to look in the camera and just lie, lie, lie,” scares him.

Chaffetz said, “Well, you know, everybody, I think, is struggling with their own decision. But, as I also said in there, I will never, ever vote for—I struggled with this —Hillary Clinton. I am not going to endorse Donald Trump. I am not going to do that. I can’t defend the comments that he made. But elections are tough decisions. At this point you have two people that are—one of the two, Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, will become the next president of the United States.”

“And last week my wife and I both voted for Donald Trump to be the next president of the United States,” he continued. “I think Hillary Clinton is that bad. She is so bad and so wrong for the United States of America, I think her ability to look in the camera and just lie, lie, lie scares me more than anything. And so it’s a tough decision. I think I reflect what a lot of Americans are struggling with, and a lot of those in Utah. At the end of the day I really like the idea of Donald Trump, but those actions and words, we should never find them acceptable, never.”
