In a cricket match between the England Physical Disability team and Pakistan last week, England’s Liam Thomas made a great diving stop to keep the ball in front of him.
Despite losing his artificial leg, Thomas got up, hobbled over to the ball and threw it in.
“It just happened, really. I was sprinting for the ball, put my hand out, hit the deck hard and the next thing I know I stood up and had no leg,” Thomas recalled. “I didn’t know whether to grab the leg or get the ball in. I decided to go for the ball.”
