Tuesday following the vice-presidential debate in Farmville, VA, former Obama adviser David Axelrod, now a CNN contributor, commented on Democratic VP nominee Sen. Tim Kaine’s (D-VA) performance.
According to Axelrod, Kaine was playing a role for which he wasn’t suited and that his series of interruptions were “probably overdone.”
“You know, I think that Tim Kaine was asked to play a role here that he isn’t particularly comfortable with,” Axelrod said. “Tim Kaine is very positive ebullient character and was asked to be kind of an attack dog here. And I think that he wasn’t entirely comfortable and the strategy of interrupting was probably overdone.”
