On Sunday’s New York AM 970’s “The Cats Roundtable,” Republican National Committee chairman told host John Catsimatidis that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will be prepared for the first presidential debate set to take place on Monday.
Priebus credited Trump for his improvements as a candidate and described him as “consistent,” “mature” and “measured.”
“Donald Trump is prepared,” Priebus said. “This is a change election. The polls go up while Donald Trump becomes steady. His message discipline is improved. He’s being consistent, mature, measured. All of those things give the electorate confidence. And as the electorate gets confident in the change candidate, then that’s when things improve for Donald Trump. One of the biggest things with the debate tomorrow is that consistent, measured candidate on that stage. And I think that’s what you’re going to see from Donald Trump.”
