Former Indiana Hoosiers basketball coach Bobby Knight said Friday on “Fox & Friends” that if he was coaching Colin Kaepernick or owned the team he was on that he “would have gotten rid of” him because of the distraction caused.
“Were I a teammate, were I the coach, were I the owner in a situation like that I would have gotten rid of the guy,” Knight declared. “It’s a distraction. We don’t need a distraction like that. Our team has got to get together, we’ve got to have our team play and now we’ve got a terrible distraction — a tremendous distraction that really has nothing to do with the competition there.”
