On Saturday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Chuck Canterbury, National President of the Fraternal Order of Police, which has endorsed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump stated that Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State’s courting of Black Lives Matter is “a misguided attempt to pander to a group that she needs their support.”
Canterbury said, while discussing Clinton’s courting of BLM, [relevant remarks begin around 2:20] “I don’t believe Mrs. Clinton hates law enforcement. I just think it’s a misguided attempt to pander to a group that she needs their support. You know, the bottom line is, Mr. Trump wasn’t scared to stand up and say he supported police officers. He was the first candidate out last night with a tweet when four police officers were shot in this country. We believe he has a genuine concern about our safety, and we think that he’s going to work with us to make America safer.”
