FS1’s Whitlock: Kaepernick’s ‘Demonization of Police’ a ‘Distraction’ From Real Issues Impacting African-Americans

Fox Sports 1’s “Speak for Yourself” released a clip of co-host Jason Whitlock discussing 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest, saying it has no place in football because the sport is not politically correct or liberal.

In the clip, Whitlock also called Kaepernick’s protest a “demonization of police” that is divisive and a distraction from the real issues that African-Americans face.

“Football and its people are not politically correct or liberal. Football culture is conservative and religious,” Whitlock explained. “Kaepernick’s tactic and un-nuanced demonization of police are divisive, counter-productive and a distraction from real issues impacting African-Americans.”
