Wednesday on “CNN Tonight,” while commenting on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s remarks on Thursday’s “Commander-in-Chief Forum” on NBC, left-leaning pundit Bob Beckel said Trump’s answers on the military were “just stupid.”
Partial transcript as follows:
LEMON: Bob, I want to talk to you about something said in the forum, that our generals have been reduced to rubble. Is that an outstanding thing for a candidate for president to say?
BECKEL: No it’s just stupid, everything he said. The idea that he’s going to tell the generals to come in and give him a plan to get rid of ISIS in a year, what does he think they’re doing now? If he has some idea how to do it, maybe he can save thousands of lives and do it right now. He doesn’t have a clue. And these generals have been in service 20, 30 years. It has nothing to do with Barack Obama’s generals or Hillary Clinton’s generals.
