Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade is “kind of conflicted” over a tweet by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
The tweet by Trump was about Wade’s cousin, Nykea Aldridge, who was shot last month in Chicago. Wade said on one hand the tweet started a conversation, but on the other hand, the death of a close family member being used for political gain left a “bad taste” in his mouth.
“I was grateful that it started a conversation but on the other hand, it’s just a bad taste in my mouth because of what my family is dealing with and what our city of Chicago is dealing with and it looks like it’s being used as political gain,” Wade told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in an interview that aired Friday on “Good Morning America.”
