FS1’s Whitlock Calls Ryan Lochte Saga ‘Overblown’ — ‘Swim-ghazi’

During Monday’s “Speak for Yourself” on Fox Sports 1, co-host Jason Whitlock shared his reaction to the Ryan Lochte saga, likening it to the scrutiny into Hillary Clinton’s handling of the Sept. 11, 2012 terror attack on a U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Whitlock coined the Lochte incident “swim-ghazi,” and said it has been overblown, very much like Benghazi has been in his estimation.

“This has turned into left wing’s swim-ghazi. You ever heard of Benghazi and ‘Oh my God — what Hillary Clinton did or didn’t do.’ And they overblew that. Now we’re overblowing swim-ghazi,” Whitlock said. “If people recognize what happened on the other side. Tell the other part of the story that Rio is so corrupt that if you make a tiny mistake late at night, you may be facing some people at gunpoint that want a couple hundred dollars from you. Those guys are much worse than Ryan Lochte.”
