Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump reacted to the Clinton campaign’s pledge that the Clinton Foundation would no longer accept foreign and corporate donations if Hillary Clinton is elected president.
According to Trump, a more appropriate response would be for the Clinton Foundation to be shut down and the money to be returned.
“Well number one, they should shut it down, number two they should give the money back to a lot of countries we shouldn’t and they shouldn’t be taking money from,” Trump said. “Countries that influence her totally and also countries that discriminate against women and gays and everybody else. I mean, that money should be given back. They should not take that money.”
Trump was asked if he thought it would happen, to which he said “maybe it won’t,” but doubled down saying that it should.
