John Oliver Destroys Ryan Lochte, Labels Him ‘America’s Idiot Sea Cow’

During the Sunday broadcast of HBO’s “Last Week Tonight,” host John Oliver ripped into American Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte over the story he gave about how he and three other swimmers were robbed at gunpoint in Brazil, which Brazilian police deny.

“People are right to be angry here because Lochte’s behavior wasn’t just s***ty and entitled, he’s also ruined himself for us. Four years ago, he was America’s favorite sweet, dumb merman,” Oliver said. “The fact that Lochte is a total a**hole is not remotely surprising; it’s just that it makes him a lot less fun now. So as we say goodbye to the Rio Olympics, sadly, we must also say farewell to one of America’s favorite idiots.”

Oliver then played a memoriam montage dedicated to Lochte, who was dubbed as “America’s Idiot Sea Cow.”
