Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said he anticipates as more Republicans will rally to party nominee Donald Trump as he gives more speeches like he has over the past week on policy matters from a teleprompter.
Gingrich pointed to Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) and said that will make Republicans more comfortable with the candidate.
“I think as you said, when Scott Walker shows up, that’s a pretty big deal and it says a lot in Wisconsin,” Gingrich said. “I think you’re going to have other members campaigning with him and I think you’re going to find as he gives more speeches like he did on Monday and Tuesday, you’re going to see a lot more Republicans decide they’re very comfortable rallying around him.”
