During Thursday’s ESPN2 broadcast of “First Take,” co-host Max Kellerman discussed the name of the NFL’s Washington Redskins, who have been under fire, mainly by non-Native Americans, for having an offensive name.

According to Kellerman, who said he would not even say the team’s name, even though a poll showed that only 10 percent of Native Americans were offended by the term “Redskins,” the name should be changed.

Kellerman then directed a message at Redskins owner Dan Snyder, telling him he is “disappointed” in him for keeping the team’s name.

“I want to just tell Dan Snyder something. I’m disappointed in you, but I will be proud of when the day comes, because it’s coming where you will be at the podium announcing the name change. Because that will happen,” Kellerman stated.
