On Tuesday’s “Rich Eisen Show,” actor and New England Patriots fan Matt Damon argued that Tom Brady’s four-game suspension for deflating footballs in the 2015 AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts could actually benefit the Patriots for the 2016 season.
“Look, I actually look at it the other way. That Tom’s gonna be pissed. And him pissed is a good thing for the New England Patriots faithful. Like, we love seeing him like that because he’s as focused a human being as I’ve met anyway, but if you give him, I mean, it’s been however many years that he’s been riding out this ‘I was drafted 199’ thing, you know, despite winning MVPs, despite winning all these Super Bowls… But now this is something new, s0 it could be a fun season for us,” Damon explained.
