Maher: Hillary’s ‘Elderly,’ ‘Probably Just Didn’t Understand That Much What She Was Doing’ With Emails

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher argued that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email use was the case of “an elderly person” who “probably just didn’t understand that much what she was doing.” And that Ambassador Chris Stevens staying in Benghazi “wasn’t a smart thing to do.”

Maher said, “As far as the emails go, I think mostly what that is, is an elderly person, and again, we’re not bashing the elderly here. They have every of right to run for president. But as far as technology goes, they’re not great at it. I’m not great at it. So, I think she probably just didn’t understand that much what she was doing.”

He later added, that Benghazi was one of many issues that was “imaginary,” “not real,” and doesn’t impact anyone’s life. Maher further argued, “Also, no one has the guts to say that, Chris Stevens, brave, but that wasn’t a smart thing to do. It was his call. There wasn’t enough security there.”
