Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” conservative talk Laura Ingraham reacted to Washington Post columnist George Will’s proclamation he was leaving the Republican Party because of his disapproval of party presumptive nominee Donald Trump.
Will had first announced his decision a day earlier on “Fox News Sunday” and elaborated on it during the “All-Star Panel” segment on “Special Report.”
Ingraham warned that not voting Trump is “a big gamble’ given what presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton might do as president of the United States.
“First of all, I just want to respond a little to what George said,” Ingraham said. “It’s a pretty big gamble to think that we can withstand four years of Hillary Clinton knowing what she is going to do. We know what she’s going to do. It’s very clear. She laid it out – a radical left-wing agenda, at least two seats on the Supreme Court. We’ve seen two terrible decisions just in the past two days. We saw a terrible affirmative action. We saw an abortion decision that was 5-3. It wouldn’t have made a difference with Scalia. But nevertheless, two seats would make a difference. I think just on the Supreme Court alone, that is just a catastrophic loss for conservatism. Anyone who cares about original meaning, original intent, and everyone from Steve Colloton to Alison Eid, who are both on the Trump’s short list of Supreme Court justices would be fabulous. I respect George and people can do whatever they want in November, but that’s a big gamble.”
