Clift: ‘You Can’t Say’ US Syria Policy Is Working, Next President ‘Cannot Just Continue What Obama Is Doing’

On Friday’s “McLaughlin Group,” the Daily Beast’s Eleanor Clift argued that when it comes to Syria, “you can’t say the US policy is working.”

Clift said, “[T]o anyone who watches what’s unfolding in Syria. I mean, clearly, you can’t say the US policy is working. … Whoever is president next cannot just continue what Obama is doing and it’s either intensifying in some way, and Hillary Clinton has ways to turn the dial up without getting completely involved.”
