On Wednesday’s “Fox & Friends,” on the Fox News Channel Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) said that President Obama “should have said ‘radical Islam.'” And that he would do so “in a heartbeat.”
Manchin stated that Obama “should have said ‘radical Islam.’ I would say that, I believe it.” Although, he argued that using the term “radical Islam” isn’t part of the strategy to defeat ISIS, and “not saying it and identifying them, I believe that I don’t have a problem with that and the president has given his reasons why he’s not.”
Manchin added that he would use the term “radical Islam” “in a heartbeat.”
Manchin also said that “you’d like to see” the president get more emotional about the recent terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida.
Later in the interview, Manchin pushed for preventing people on the no-fly list shouldn’t be allowed to purchase firearms, but when co-host Brian Kilmeade stated, “That’s just not the issue of Orlando, though.” Manchin responded, “I know.”
