Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL) argued against those claiming the Second Amendment was responsible for Sunday’s mass shooting in Orlando at a gay night club.
Instead he argued it was “evil radical Islam” and “ISIS” responsible.
“The Second Amendment didn’t kill anybody,” Scott said. “Evil radical Islam, ISIS – they killed. We have got to start standing up for this country. This is our country. We have got to vet people before they come into our country. If you disagree with what our country believes in, why in the living day are you allowed in our country? We have 49 people dead – dead, murdered. Forty-three people in the hospital, I was at the hospital on Second, people still having surgery. We’re not sure they’re going to live. When do we stop this?”
