Both Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado and Kansas City Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura were ejected Tuesday night after a benches clearing brawl that stemmed from Ventura hitting Machado with a 99 mph fastball.

In the second inning, the young Orioles star admired a deep fly ball to left that was eventually caught, which led to the pair sharing a few words with each other.

With one out in the bottom of the fifth inning, Ventura hit Machado on the first pitch of the at-bat, and Machado started to run at Ventura. The Royals pitcher instantly dropped his glove and hat. Machado connected with a punch and slammed Ventura to the ground.

The benches then cleared as everyone tried to break up the fight.

Once everything calmed down, the two players were ejected. Both likely face suspensions.
