Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File,” host Megyn Kelly warned of “chaos” in the court system should presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump get his way and U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel recuses himself from presiding over the lawsuits facing Trump University.
Kelly argued Trump’s pushback against the judge is not necessary because he will “get his day in court.”
“That is not the way our system works,” Kelly said. “If a litigant making stink about a judge necessarily resulted in a conflict that would force the judge to step down, it would lead to chaos in our court system.”
“Trump has a defense on the merits and he’s going to get his day in court,” she added. “He doesn’t have to destroy the judge in the process.”
