Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough discussed presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and his campaign tactics headed into this fall’s general election.
Scarborough said he detected Trump getting “off his game” and said that things will only intensify as the general election approaches.
“He’s been, the last two or three weeks, especially shrill and seeming to actually get off his game,” Scarborough said. “I think the pressure only picks up between now and November. It gets tougher right now.
Later in the segment, Scarborough dismissed the suggestion that Trump was sticking with the strategy that had gotten him to where he is.
“If he thinks the same thing that happens in the Republican primary is going to help him win in the general election, he just is a rank amateur and he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
