Friday in an appearance on MSNBC, former Democratic National Committee chairman former Gov. Howard Dean (D-VT) speculated on how Democratic presidential front-runner will handle her of who she will have as a running mate in the November election.
Dean said he hoped for someone younger and is not of the “baby boomer generation.”
“I strongly believe that we ought to have someone under 50 on the ticket. I think the baby boomers have run this country for too long,” Dean said. “We stepped away from that with Barack Obama. We don’t normally go back a generation.”
“I would like somebody very much who is not in the baby boomer generation. Somebody who’s in this new, upcoming generation,” he added.
