Before his game Monday against the Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians first baseman Mike Napoli met with a fan who was holding a sign asking for “a hug and a homer” before she starts her chemotherapy the next day.
In the sixth inning, Napoli came through for the woman, hitting a solo shot deep to left field.
The Rangers went on to beat the Indians 9-2.
