Friday on MSNBC, national spokesman for Donald Trump’s campaign Katrina Pierson said the difference between presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton’s unfavorables is Hillary’s been running for president for 25 to 30 years.
When asked about the high unfavorable ratings in polls for both Hillary and Trump, Pierson said, “I’ll also say that we have plenty of time to change those numbers. In the Republican primary, Mr. Trump turned that gap around within three months with his unfavorables, and even among women. The difference between Mr. Trump and Hillary Clinton, as far as unfavorables is Hillary has been running for president for 25 to 30 years. Donald Trump hasn’t even been running for one year and we’re just now about to get to the contrast between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton on policy. That’s where you’ll see all the difference.”
