Friday on the Fox News Channel, former Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, a former candidate for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination and now a supporter of presumptive nominee Donald Trump, reacted to comments from Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton suggesting Trump wasn’t qualified to be president.
Carson pointed to Clinton’s controversial email server and her handling of the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack on a U.S. consulate in Benghazi as evidence where Clinton’s judgment could be called into question.
“The fact of the matter is here is an individual who doesn’t have enough judgment to know not to put secret information on a private server and she’s talking about somebody else who isn’t qualified? Somebody that doesn’t have the judgment to send help to the consulate in Benghazi when they’re begging for help and then doesn’t have the judgment after the problem starts to get help there. She just says, ‘Eh, we’re not going to do anything about it.’”
“Nine hours later, those Navy SEALs are on top of that compound firing away saying if we can just hold on, help will be arriving,” he continued. “But no, help was not going to be arriving no matter how long they stayed there. Is that good judgment?”
