Dennis Miller on Curt Schilling Firing: It’s Turning Into ‘ESPN O-R-T-H Korea’ Over There

Comedian Dennis Miller reacted to former Boston Red Sox star pitcher Curt Schilling’s comments on the liberal bias of ESPN on Wednesday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor.” 

Schilling was fired from ESPN for constantly showing his conservative views on his Facebook page. ESPN is airing a documentary on the 2004 Red Sox-New York Yankees ALCS, and coincidentally will be leaving out a key moment from game 6 of the series where Schilling pitched seven innings and gave up one run while his ankle was bleeding into his sock from having surgery on it just days before.

Miller said ESPN cutting out one of the most famous moments from that series just shows how the company is turning into North Korea.

“They have a great, great documentary series called ’30 for 30,'” Miller said. “They did one on the [Yankees] and the Red Sox fighting each other. Game 6, 2000, for ALCS, you remember, they’re down three-nothing; come back and win four to nothing, the Red Sox do. And in game six, Schilling pitches with a tendon in his foot, it’s bleeding, and they cut that out of footage now. Yes. It’s like ESPN o-r-t-h Korea is what it is turning into over there.”
