Wednesday on CNN’s “New Day,” former Indiana head basketball coach Bobby Knight dismissed a question from co-host Chris Cuomo on where the Republican Party goes after a contentious battle for its presidential nomination.
Knight said none of that was important, and said instead it was to focus on doing what is “right” for the country.
“I don’t care about the Republican Party,” Knight said. “I don’t care about the Democratic Party. You know, I’m tired of this party stuff. ‘We’re going to do what’s right for this party or we’re going to do right for that party.’ Let’s just get together and do what’s right for the country. I think that’s what all of us want.”
