NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell appeared on the Thursday broadcast of “CBS This Morning” to discuss the four-game suspension of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Goodell called the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision to reinstate Brady’s suspension the “right decision,” adding that this should be the end of “Deflate-Gate.”
“Well, Charlie, this is a decision we reached last summer. It was the right decision, in according with the court of appeals, and I think this is the end of the matter,” Goodell stated. “[T]he court was very clear on the fact that the suspension was reinstated; that it should not have been reversed in the first place last summer by the district court. And the court of appeals’ decision was quite strong on that.”
