Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer reacted to a Fox News poll giving Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump a 41 percent-to-33 percent edge over his closest competitor, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).
According to Krauthammer, with Cruz having mathematically eliminated, it is “hard to see” how Trump could be denied the GOP nod, especially given his dominating win in the New York Republican presidential primary held earlier this week.
“The New York result, 61 percent for Trump, was so overwhelming that I think it had a psychological effect, where if nobody stops Trump in any of these states — notably Indiana or somewhere on the West Coast — it’s going to be hard to see how he’s denied the nomination.”
