Abdul-Jabbar Endorsing Hillary Because ‘She Wants to Keep Us All Safe’

NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar appeared on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria Bartiromo” Thursday to discuss his endorsement of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Abdul-Jabbar told Bartiromo that he is supporting Clinton because she will pay attention to the middle class, and because she will “go the extra steps” to keep Americans safe.

“I like the fact [Hillary Clinton] is emphasizing the fact that the middle class needs be paid attention to and given an opportunity to succeed. That’s a very important issue. I think that, for all Americans, if the middle class is not doing well we all aren’t gonna do well,” Abdul-Jabbar explained. “The fact that she wants to keep us all safe. She wants everybody to realize we need to go the extra steps to be safe and she is willing to take the extra steps.”
