Thursday on NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) entertained a phone call from “Donald Trump” played by show host Jimmy Fallon advising him how to answers questions he might face from Fallon in his appearance.
The topics included immigration and how to handle a question about his “New York values” comments, to which Cruz touted New York City as the “greatest city in the world.”
“I love New York City. It is the greatest city in the world with the best looking audiences in the entire world, so when I said New York values I was merely trying to say I value New York, except I was saying it backwards, the way Yoda would say it.”
