Watch: Virginia SS Makes Barehanded Over-the-Shoulder Catch

University of Virginia Cavaliers shortstop Daniel Pinero made a spectacular grab Wednesday in his squad’s 9-4 victory over Longwood.

With runners on first and third and zero outs, a Longwood player hit a blooper into shallow left field. Pinero raced back and grabbed the ball barehanded with his back still facing the infield. He then quickly threw the ball home, preventing Longwood from scoring a run.
