Thursday on MSNBC’s “Hardball” during a town hall, Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) said if his rival Donald Trump wins the nomination Republicans are “not going to just lose the White House,” but he explained we will lose the courts and the state governments as well.
Partial transcript as follows:
MATTHEWS: 75% of women voters say they do not trust or like Donald Trump.
KASICH: Right. that’s pretty unbelievable. You have to work to get that unpopular.
MATTHEWS: He has — these fights with Carly Fiorina and Megyn Kelly and all this stuff.
KASICH: That why when this guys says ‘why are you in the race,’ well why would I not be in the race. This is a guy that has a 75% negative among married women. Are you kidding me? When are we going to get our menu… Think of the menu he would present. You can’t — nobody will order anything off the menu. And we’re not going to lose the White House, the court is gone and then the courthouse, to the statehouse, we just take a drumming. I mean that’s why is he not going to win.
