Former two-sport star Bo Jackson appeared on Monday’s “First Take” on ESPN2 and Jackson, a former Los Angeles Raiders running back, discussed the move of the St. Louis Rams to the city of Los Angeles. The city has been without a football team since 1995.

Jackson said Los Angeles needs football “bad” and speculated it would cause a “surge” in the “positive direction.”

“Football in LA, the city needs it. The people want it. You have the most ravenous fans on the planet right there. The second or third largest city in the country and they don’t have a football team. That says a lot in both ways that says a lot. To have a professional team to come back there is super,” he stated. “The city needs it bad. They have been in a drought, not only with water, but with sports teams.”
