Krauthammer: ‘Huge Mistake’ if GOP Does Anything Other Than ‘Absolutely Stonewall’ on Obama SCOTUS Nominee

Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer said it would be a mistake for Senate Republicans to entertain the thought of doing anything with President Barack Obama’s nomination to the Supreme Court to fill the seat left vacant by the late Antonin Scalia.

Krauthammer said he had little faith in Senate Republicans holding strong if it got to the process confirmation.

“I think it would be a huge mistake if the Republicans did anything other than have an absolutely stonewall,” Krauthammer said. “I don’t have any of the confidence George [Will] has in the nimbleness and intelligence of Republicans in managing this. The minute they open this up they are going to get rolled. This is the Scalia seat. This would change the court for a generation. It’s not kind of a neutral seat. And I think it’s something that you can’t lose, so our advice is not to nominate.”
