Commercials for Chuck E. Cheese’s promote the restaurant as a place “where a kid can be a kid.”
Apparently, an adult can also be a kid at Chuck E. Cheese’s.
Police are investigating an incident that took place Sunday at a Chuck E. Cheese’s in Manchester, CT where a major brawl broke out, according to WGNTV.
A family was reportedly at the restaurant celebrating a child’s birthday when two strangers began fighting near the carousel. NBC Connecticut reported that the fight started because the two strangers bumped into each other.
Once the shouting match was over, an all-out brawl ensued.
Police said the fight involved 12 people, with two kids sustaining minor injuries.
The suspects all left the scene before police arrived, but authorities are reviewing footage in order to identify anybody involved.
Chuck E. Cheese released this as an official statement:
“We are regretful of the situation. Our cast immediately called the authorities once the altercation went from verbal to physical. We are working closely with the authorities to provide our surveillance footage. The safety of our guests and cast members is our number one priority. We are sorry this happened. We are usually a place for food and fun and family and we work hard to provide a positive, wholesome atmosphere for guests.”
