Clift: ‘Doesn’t Serve Democracy Well’ For GOP To Just Dismiss Obama Budget, Not Have Director Testify

The Daily Beast’s Eleanor Clift argued that Republicans not inviting the budget director to testify about President Obama’s budget and “just dismissing” the budget “doesn’t serve democracy well” on Friday’s “McLaughlin Group.”

Clift said, “I think it’s incredibly disrespectful to this president that, for the first time in 40 years, they are not inviting the budget director to testify on Capitol Hill. They are just dismissing it. And I don’t think that serves — that doesn’t serve democracy well.”
