Brandon Marshall says the New York Jets collectively “took a deep breath” and approached the Dallas Cowboys “one play at a time” in the team’s comeback victory on Saturday night.

Breitbart Sports’ Dan Leberfeld was on hand in the Jets locker room in AT&T Stadium after the game to record the wide receiver’s reflections on the win.

“It wasn’t pretty,” Marshall noted of the 19-16 win on the road. “But we knew it was going to be this type of game.”

Marshall caught four balls for 74 yards in the victory. Jets kicker Randy Bullock split the uprights with 41 seconds remaining, after missing a field goal earlier in the game, to put Gang Green ahead for good. The Jets trailed 13-9 in the fourth quarter before a Ryan Fitzpatrick pass to Eric Decker put them ahead with the PAT 16-13. Dallas tied it with a field goal before Bullock redeemed himself with the last-minute kick.

The Jets improved to 9-5, which temporarily puts them as the fifth seed in the AFC playoff hunt. Both the Chiefs and Steelers look to reconfigure the seedings in Sunday’s action. The Jets host the Patriots next week before traveling to Buffalo to close out the regular season against the Bills. The three teams fight for two wildcard spots, with Pittsburgh and Kansas City still glimpsing outside shots at divisional titles.

“You can’t look at the records in the National Football League,” Marshall explained of the victory over the 4-10 Cowboys. “Teams are so good, so talented. So, we’re just glad to get out of here with a win.”
