Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer reacted to Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s (R-UT), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, effort to seek the impeachment of Internal Revenue Service commissioner John Koskinen for what he declared to be a failure to comply with a congressional subpoena in that he allegedly allowed documents to be destroyed and misled the public.
According to Krauthammer, Chaffetz’s effort is a lost cause and he pointed to the House Republicans’ prior efforts to take down Obama officials.
“This is not going to end well,” Krauthammer said. “Republicans have demonstrated, if they’ve demonstrated anything, Republicans in the Congress have shown that they have no ability to conduct successful investigations under this administration. Everything they’ve touched has failed or backfired.”
