Up 23-21 with ten seconds to go, University of Michigan Wolverines punter Blake O’Neill botched the snap that could have all but sealed the victory for the Wolverines. Instead, Jalen Watts-Jackson of Michigan State recovered the ball, and returned it 38 yards for the game-winning score for the Spartans, who had not led at all the entire game.
The improbable finish gave the Spartans a winning score of 27-23.
