Following the opening September 14 Monday Night Football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the San Francisco 49ers, a brutal attack was captured and posted to social media.
Investigators say a 35-year-old man in a Vikings jersey was attacked, punched and kicked brutally in the parking lot outside Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco.
Although the crowd had scattered before police arrived, law enforcement was able to use social media combined with ticketing information to help piece together the three suspects and the teenage girl who was with them.
The three charged are Eric Martinez, 30, Felix Chavira Sr., 32, and Juan Arias, 33.
Martinez and Chavira are alleged to have personally inflicted great bodily injury on the victim and Arias faces an additional charge of misdemeanor battery on the security guard. The teenage girl was also arrested.
If convicted, Martinez and Chavira could face up to seven years in prison. Arias could face up to four years.
